Gwyneth Paltrow's got her southern drawl in tact in her latest flick, "Country Strong."
Paltrow plays a country singer named Kelly Canter who is a recovering alcoholic that attempts to make a career comeback after being arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct only to find she isn't as relevant as she once was.
In the trailer, Paltrow's character gets close to a rising country star named Beau Williams, played by Garrett Hedlung, who tries to help her through her recovery. But Canter is faced with difficulties when a newer, younger country singer played by Leighton Meester is threatening to take her place, especially when a song originally meant for Canter is given to Meester's character by Canter's own husband/manager, played by real-life country singer Tim McGraw.
By the end of the trailer, it seems Canter has re-gained the respect of the industry and her friends as she performs the title track, "Country strong," on the big stage.
"Country Strong" hits theaters in limited release in December.
