Susan Boyle showed off her angelic voice to Pope Benedict XVI and thousands of onlookers at the end of a Roman Catholic open mass today (Sept. 16) in Scotland. The "Britain's Got Talent" star performed "I Dreamed a Dream" and the hymns "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace" and "How Great Thou Art" as the Pope waved to the crowd and said goodbye to church officials.
Dressed in a black coat and heels, Boyle performed at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park before 65,000 people, most of whom appear to be waving blue Papal flags. Before the performance, Boyle said that singing for the Pope is "something I've always dreamed of."
Singing for the Pope is quite a boost for Boyle, after a licensing glitch halted her from performing a Lou Reed song on "America's Got Talent" last week, reportedly leaving the singer in tears.
