Taylor Swift had quite the jaw-dropping time on "Ellen" recently, first being grilled about her love life, then being the victim of one of DeGeneres' practical jokes.
In an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that aired yesterday (Nov. 1), Ellen outright asks Taylor Swift if her song "Dear John," which appears on Swift's new album "Speak Now," is about John Mayer, as many have speculated. Swift dances around the question, but Ellen persists that it must be true because she did not deny it. "I'm still going to continue to write about my life," Swift responded, "and I guess people are going to continue to speculate about it, and I'm going to continue to never tell them what the song's about."
Then Ellen suggests Taylor is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, with whom she has recently been spotted. Swift handles it maturely, but also seems peeved and embarrassed simultaneously.

Ellen may pry for the juicy details, but she keeps it light, too. She scares the crap out of Taylor with a minor prank -- for the second time. Swift was the victim of one of DeGeneres' hijinks the last time she appeared on "Ellen."

Finally, Taylor talks about feeling alienated from her peers when she was in school. Swift, whose new album is on track for the biggest first sales week since 2005, is most certainly having the last laugh right now.
