A reunited Soundgarden made its first television appearance in 13 years on "Conan" last night (Nov. 9) to perform a "new" song, "Black Rain," from the band's greatest hits collection "Telephantasm," which hit retailers earlier this fall.

The song is an outtake from the band's 1991 "Badmotorfinger" sessions, but was released on "Telephantasm" as well as the video game "Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock." Frontman Chris Cornell and co. brought the song's gritty edge to life on Conan's darkened stage in front of rotating search lights. The performance ranked the band in the top 20 most-searched Google terms this morning (Nov. 10).
