Hanukkah Parody of 'Dynamite' Makes It On 'Today'

With all the Chrsitmas wreaths and people dressed as Santa parading the streets, sometimes the other holidays of the December season are a little overlooked. The Maccabeats -- an all-male a capella group from Yoshiva University -- are making sure that this holiday season no one overlooks the eight crazy nights of Hanukkah.

The Maccabeats created an a capella parody of Taio Cruz's "Dynamite," titled "Candlelight," to explain the roots of the festival, much in the spirit of Matt Tompkins' rendition of the song that went viral earlier this fall. Like Tompkins, the Maccabeats also found themselves with a slot on "The Today Show." The "Today" cast did a remake of Tompkins' video a few weeks ago, and played the Maccabeats version this morning (Dec. 3) in celebration of the third day of the holiday.
Of course, the cast of "The Today Show" is no stranger to viral videos. Check out their lip-dub video of The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling."
