Patent Pending Play Angry Birds, Send Sexy Texts in New Video

PATENT PENDINGBillboard Battle of the Bands winners Patent Pending fully embrace the world of smartphones and internet memes in their new video for "I Already Know (She Don't Give a S*** About Me)."

Patent Pending Wins 2012 Battle of the Bands

From superimposing the band's faces on a set of "Angry Birds" characters to stripping down for sexy texts, Patent tackles everything that's been fun about the internet in the last few years. As the video continues, the same girl breaks all five of their hearts -- at which point they start throwing virtual fruit at her and she slices it with a sword, "Fruit Ninja"-style.

Lead singer Joe Ragosta strips down to his lepoard-print skivvies and covers himself in whipped cream, then sings the song via a video on Tumblr. It's one part geeky and two parts bizarre, but somehow it works for the pop-punk group.

Earlier this year, we scouted the U.S. to find 2012's most promising unsigned acts, and Billboard.com visitors voted for their favorites. Patent Pending made it to the final round, performed in Las Vegas and won the Battle of the Bands, then went on to perform live at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on ABC.
