There's not a lot going on in the music video for Green Day's "Oh Love," but the three rockers certainly seem to be having fun with a roomful of models as they perform the first single from their upcoming album trilogy.
"It's very lustful," Billie Joe Armstrong said of the song while debuting the video on MTV. The lusty theme is very much felt throughout the five-minute "Oh Love" clip, which has scantily-clad ladies throwing themselves (literally, at one point) at the band's feet as Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool perform, drink, and lounge on couches with the girls. Added Dirnt, "Lust is must."
The video -- directed by Samuel Bayer, the man behind Green Day's "American Idiot" videos -- shows all the stereotypes of "rock star" life, and is what one could imagine the trio's behind-the-scenes lives looked like before they started getting married and having kids.
"Oh Love" is the first single from the pop-punk group's upcoming "¡Uno!" album, which drops Sept. 25. The second part of the album trilogy, "¡Dos!," is due Nov. 13, with "¡Tré!" closing out the set on Jan. 15, 2013.
