Katy Perry Sets Off Surprise 'Fireworks' at Post-Oscars PS22 Performance
No one won a car or a trip to Australia on Oprah Winfrey's annual post-Oscars show this year, but a surprise still surfaced -- in the form of Katy Perry.
Despite husband Russell Brand's assurance that the pop starlet was in the midst of a tour and was not at the awards show, Perry turned up -- following a flight straight from a concert in Vienna to Los Angeles -- to perform her tune "Firework" with Staten Island's PS22 children's chorus.

The performance, which featured actual indoor pyrotechnics in addition to more than a few fireworks shown on the Kodak Theatre's massive video screen, followed PS22's performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at the Oscars ceremony.
What do you think? Did the PS22 chorus outshine Perry, or was Mrs. Brand in rare form despite the jetlag she was probably experiencing? Tell us in the comments!
