'Sesame Street' Pokes Fun at 'Spider-Man' Musical: Watch

"Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" may have finally opened, but that doesn't mean the Internet is quite ready to stop making fun of it. This time it's "Sesame Street," with a short clip lampooning the troubled Broadway show. Watch below.

Grover stars as the titular "SpiderMonster" in a production of "SpiderMonster: The Musical," but instead of flying over the audience, he launches himself directly onto the only audience member's lap. When the disgruntled patron points out that the SpiderMonster didn't actually fly, Grover enlists the help of a friend.

Neither Bono nor the Edge appear in the video (aside from Bono's orange muppet counterpart), but the duo did take all Spider-Man ribbing in stride during Sunday's Tony Awards.

"Sesame Streets" returns for its 42nd season in September, and "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" began its re-launched theater run yesterday.
