Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon Spit 'History of Rap, Vol. 3'
Jay-Z and Kanye West weren't the only ones trading verses this weekend: Justin Timberlake stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on Friday (Oct. 28) to deliver the third installment of his "History of Rap" collaboration with the host. With The Roots' musicianship providing the backdrop, "Fallon" viewers were treated to yet another hip-hop tour-de-force from the duo.
With hardly an introduction, Fallon and Timberlake kicked off with Run-D.M.C.'s 1985 hit, "King of Rock," before bridging into LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out."
Not wanting to get carried away, JT stopped Fallon in the middle of Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day" to remind him, "You don't have an AK, do you Jimmy?"
"No, no I don't."
After wrapping up with some recent hits ( Kanye West's "Stronger," Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass"), the studio audience pitched in for the big closer -- Naughty By Nature's "Hip Hop Hooray."
Aside from his MC skills, Timberlake was out promoting his new sci-fi/thriller, "In Time," which co-stars Amanda Seyfried.
In the previous "History of Rap" installment, Timberlake and Fallon put their spin on tracks like Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It" and Nelly's "Hot In Herre" last July.
