Ice Cube recently sat down with to chat about his latest project, "I Am The West," gangster rap, being an independent artist now and the legendary N.W.A.

"NWA, for better or for worse, opened up all of pop art -- not just music, but everybody now feels they can be themselves," Cube said of the group's legacy. "No one has to put on a facade, change who they are to be famous. You can do it how you feel it." Take that, Lady Gaga.
