NOV. 6: After spending 8 months behind bars at Rikers Island jail, Lil Wayne joined Young Money protégé Drake at the Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas for a performance of "Miss Me."

Ok, so here goes the final update on this one. Lil Wayne WILL be in NYC on Thursday (Dec. 16) shooting the Carson Show. According to his rep (shout out to Karen Civil), he got confused by the tweet sent out by the label but he is scheduled to be there. Sigh. I've got a headache just trying to keep up! But looking forward to Wayne being in my city again.

Lil Wayne didn't celebrate his release from jail with a party in NYC, but it looks like Weezy will be back in the Big Apple this week for the taping of a New Years Eve Show with Young Money's first lady Nicki Minaj.

According to inflexwetrust.com, Wayne and Nicki will be in New York on Thursday (Dec. 16) as part of NBC's New Year's eve pre-taped show. The event will take place on a New York City rooftop at 6:30pm. For tickets, fans can click here. Good luck!

Looks like we've all been juxed.

After inflexwetrust.com reported that Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj would be performing a free show in NYC this week -- followed by a twitter confirmation by who appeared to be Lil Wayne -- it turns out it was just (in the words of my intern) an "effing cruel" joke.

Lil Wayne is allegedly NOT performing a show with Nicki Minaj in New York this week, and he definitely didn't confirm the appearance either.

"I'm doing a free show in NY this Thursday. Don't miss it -- http://bit.ly/eL41LR," a tweet posted by who appeared to be Lil Tunechi read. But just minutes later, this went up: "Someone has tapped into my twitter page. I'm not doing a show in ny. Sorry for the misunderstanding." Womp womp.

There it is, folks.
