Legal Updates: Fantasia Didn't Break Up Marriage? Kelis Sued
A North Carolina judge ruled in favor of Fantasia's former lover Antwaun Cook in his divorce proceedings against his ex-wife Paula, saying the pair separated on Sept. 14, 2009, and not in June 2010, as Paula's claimed. What does this mean for Fanny? That she didn't break up a happy marriage as Paula's tried to insinuate up to this point.
How this will all pan out on Paula's plan to sue Fantasia under North Carolina's unique Alienation of Affection law is yet to be seen. But as for Fantasia, this is definitely good news.
In related legal drama updates, it seems Kelis is back in court, but this time with a production company following her European tour.
Drive Talent, a production company that worked with Kelis recently, is suing Kelis, saying they were never paid for production costs in the amount of $11,800. Kelis' camp are counter-suing, saying they paid Drive in full and adding that the production company hired an outside vendor without approval from Kelis or her management.
