Virginia Rapper DP Recruits D.R.A.M. For 'For The Love Of' (Exclusive)
DP reconnects with frequent collaborator, D.R.A.M. (known for making Beyonce shake it on Instagram with his breakout hit “Cha Cha") for his new 757 collaboration called "For The Love Of," premiering exclusively on Billboard.
Hailing from Virginia, the two bar-droppers have made musical magic on tracks like “50/50" and consistently pay tribute to their native area code.
"'For The Love Of' is a track about the reality I grew up and live with everyday,” he tells Billboard of the song, which depicts the daily struggles of coming up in his city. “D.R.A.M. and I are both from the 757 and we're just telling you how shit is on our side.”
The 300 Entertainment signee first hit the Internet running with the Brooklyn Taylor-produced banger “Jabar," bringing back fond memories of Clipse. His Designer Casket mixtape, which features two tracks with D.R.A.M., will be Nov. 11.
