Tyler, The Creator Cancels U.K. & Ireland Tour
Tyler, The Creator has canceled his four-date tour of the U.K. and Ireland at the last moment.
The U.S. rapper has nixed his scheduled show Tuesday night in Belfast and Wednesday night in Dublin, and his slots at the Leeds (Aug. 28) and Reading Festivals (Aug. 30) are now off.
Tyler announced the cancelation with a post on Twitter. Though his reasons for pulling the shows are opaque at best.
He wrote in all-caps: "DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES I WONT BE PLAYING READING, LEEDS, BELFEST AND OTHER SHOWS IN THE UK. SUCKS AND IM SORRY. I LOVE YOU, SAVE THE HORSES -T"
It’s the second national tour Tyler has yanked in as many weeks. Tyler canned the Australia leg of his Cherry Bomb World Tour amid protests led by Collective Shout, which campaigns against the objectification of women and sexualization of girls. None of those four scrapped September shows Down Under have been rescheduled.
Aside from those U.K., Ireland and Australia gigs, Tyler’s live performance diary remains the same. He has dates in Japan and South Korea slated for next month followed by a string of U.S. concerts which he’ll co-headline with A$AP Rocky.
