"This guy got a talking sword!"

If you’ve been following Ice-T’s podcast, you know that the he’s been dabbling in audiobooks lately. What sort of audiobooks? Dungeons and Dragons, which he admits is quote the pronunciation challenge.

Well, now we’ve got hard evidence that Ice-T's not so bad at pronouncing ridiculous fantasy names. Something Awful uncovered a handful of snippets of the emcee/Body Count leader/Law & Order actor narrating R.A. Salvatore’s D&D short story Comrades at Odds.

Here are a few clips to whet your D&D appetite:

The story Ice-T narrates comes from the Dungeons & Dragons anthology The Legend of Drizzt. The audiobook version also includes narration from “Weird Al” Yankovic, David Duchovny. Tom Felton, and more. Draco Malfoy reading D&D? Not so surprising. But we’re glad to see Ice-T got on board.

Check out the behind-the-scenes video below for interviews with the celebrity narrators, including Ice-T, who explains why he found the experience a tad intimidating:

“This is my first delve into Dungeons & Dragons,” Ice-T said. “And actually reading Dungeons & Dragons, I think, is harder than playing Dungeons & Dragons.”
