This morning (July 21), The Weeknd charts at No. 1 on Billboard's Trending 140 chart with the debut of his new song, "King Of The Fall."
"King Of The Fall" stays within The Weeknd's realm of compelling and progressive R&B/soul, with scintillating production.
The track is named after the Toronto singer-songwriter's recently announced tour featuring ScHoolboy Q and Jhene Aiko, which is set to kick off at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on September 19, 2014. The tour will also be hitting Hollywood, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Toronto, Canada.
After the song was released on SoundCloud 14 hours ago, "King of the Fall" has already been played 384,311 times and counting. The Weeknd’s newest release follows the song “Often” which debuted late June. Both tracks were released under Republic Records and his label imprint, XO.
