Looks like Kanye West will be headlining both coasts of Budweiser Made In America next month when it expands to Los Angeles as well as Philadelphia on Aug. 30 and 31. Also newly announced to the L.A. lineup is Iggy Azalea, who will play the West Coast festival on Saturday.
More on Made in America:
Kanye had previously been confirmed as the Saturday-night headliner of the flagship fest in Philly, now entering its third year, alongside mainstage acts like The National, Steve Aoki, J. Cole and Chromeo. After his performance, he'll head to L.A. the next day to headline alongside John Mayer as well as Juanes, Weezer and Rise Against. In addition to Kanye, rapper YG will be doing double-duty at both festivals. Several other performers may also end up showing up at both festivals via surprise appearances or to-be-announced updates -- the Philadelphia lineup, for example, currently has four "Coming Soon" holes on its official landing page.
Single-day tickets to both festivals will go on sale Friday July 18 through livenation.com and the Live Nation mobile app. Single-day tickets to Philadelphia will be priced at $89.59, while tickets for Los Angeles will be $99.50.
In its second year, attendance to the 2013 Made In America doubled from 40,000 to 80,000, a growth that foretold this year's expansion. At a press conference announcing the expansion in April, Jay Z said, "I want to thank Budweiser for putting together a show that's in the city, not some far-off place you can't get to," then quickly adding, “No disrespect to any other festivals, no shots. Look how beautiful this park is, it's accessible to everyone, it's inclusion it's not exclusion. We started two years ago in Philadelphia and had huge success, and I'm sure we'll have even more success here in Los Angeles. We're very proud to be here in America."
