Fresh off the stage at the BET Awards Sunday night, where he performed his hit single “Loyal” for the first time on a huge stage since being released from jail, minutes later Chris Brown dropped a hot new single called "New Flame" featuring Usher and Rick Ross.
The track's a four-minute banger with Brown's smooth croon soaring over a steadily repeating synth line, offering romantic sentiments and trying to get something new going. Heavy hitters Usher and Ross weigh in on-message, each getting their own verse but never robbing Brown of the spotlight. And the track fittingly name-checks Usher's "Love in the Club" in the chorus, giving the icon and his influence over this kind of sexy, club-ready R&B much-deserved props.
"New Flame" is the latest single off Chris Brown's upcoming album "X," which has seen its release date pushed back several times since its originally annouced date of November, 2013, due to Brown's personal and legal issues. Previous singles off "X" have already included "Loyal," "Love More," "Don't Think They Know" and "Fine China."
