Lil Wayne followed Pharrell Williams as the 2014 BET Awards’ second performer. It was a decidedly more aggressive turn for the evening. In a floppy hat, open red oversized plaid shirt, sunglasses, and grey shorts, Weezy debuted rock track "Krazy," viciously spitting his lyrics as his drumming banged on his set.
Then he transitioned into his latest single from his forthcoming album “Tha Carter V,” “Believe Me.” The Drake-assisted cut’s performance did not feature the Toronto rapper (and fellow Young Money label mate), but Wayne’s energy seemed to be enough to keep the crowd rocking.
“I love you, Reginae,” Wayne said as he wrapped his performance, shouting out his daughter. “C5,” was his last message to the audience, plugging his highly anticipated album.
