Who knew Solange Knowles' attack on Jay Z in a hotel elevator would spark so many different ways fashion can be used as, um, weapons. (See: the Stuart Weitzman heels she wore to kick her brother-in-law.) And now, it seems the purse she carried to the Met Gala is also worth a fight.
To capitalize on this week's news surrounding the reported attack, the brand behind the singer's Met Gala clutch used the opportunity to advertise its purse.
On Tuesday, British label Anya Hindmarch tweeted an ad for the Crisp Packet clutch, showing a metallic blue version of the gold one that she carried, with a tagline that is clearly a reference to the Solange-Jay Z brawl. Priced at roughly $1,670, we'll let you decide if, as the brand puts it, it's "worth fighting for."
Sure, it's clever, but don't we think it's about time we moved on from the situation? Because clearly, Beyonce and Jay Z have -- they were spotted smiling courtside at the Brooklyn Nets game Monday night.
