UPDATE 5/8: In new statements, Rich Homie Quan and his publicist deny the rapper experienced seizures. "I fainted and hit my head," he says. Get the full story here.
Rising rapper Rich Homie Quan has been reportedly hospitalized after suffering two seizures while shooting a music video.
TMZ reports Quan was taken to an Atlanta hospital after he suffered a seizure, hit the ground and “smashed his head badly.” The artist was apparently shooting a video with Problem in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. Quan’s rep told the title that he'd experienced heat exhaustion prior to the twin seizures. He's said to be in "good condition" and he's recovering in the hospital.
Quan's career broke through in 2013 with the hit ”Type Of Way,” which Drake called out as the "song of the summer."
Quan spoke at length to Billboard last year on the release of his mixtape "I Promise I'll Never Stop Goin' In #ThatsRite2." "I wouldn't say I have anything to prove. Only because I'm telling my story and my story never gets old," he said. "If people loved the first mixtape ("I Go In On Every Song") then they'll love this one even more."
He also insisted he'd improved his skill set and grown as an artist. "I just wanted to show everyone with this one just how much I've matured with my songwriting abilities."
