Early this morning, Drake released his second song in two days, "Days in the East."
Drake changes the pace from the subliminal-charged "Draft Day" to the slow, affair-themed PARTYNEXTDOOR and Noah "40" Shebib-produced track.
In the latter end of the song Drake shares a trip to Erykah Badu's house, rapping: "I remember one night I went to Erykah Badu's house/She made tea for me/ We talked about love and what life could really be for me/she said when that shit is real, you just know."
He continues to rap about a rekindled relationship with someone who travels to him while overseas: "Back up in this thang, it's a go/ Had a couple ni--as out of pocket, now they know/ Ain't the first time 'cause I lost you before/ Had to get it back," Drake raps. "Take a flight here, pop a Xan for your boy/ Wakin' up in Amsterdam with the boy/Long flight home, another Xan for your boy… You would probably kill another man for the boy." Is it safe to say that Drake is alluding to Rihanna?
