Lionel Richie, Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu join the lineup for the Essence Festival, which will roll-out over the Fourth of July weekend in New Orleans.
They trio of hitmakers join previously announced headliner Prince for the event’s 20th anniversary edition.
This year's Essence will take place July 3-6 at the Superdome in New Orleans. The likes of Jill Scott, Ledisi and Charlie Wilson will play the main stage, while the Superlounges will host Sevyn Streeter, Marsha Ambrosius, King, 112, Sebastian Mikael, Naughty by Nature, among others.
Additionally, gospel star Yolanda Adams will be honored with an all-star tribute at Essence’s Empowerment Experience, which will be hosted by Donnie McClurkin and count Rev. Al Sharpton, Steve Harvey and Iyanla Vanzant among the participants.

The 2013 edition of the festival featured performances by Beyonce, Jill Scott, Brandy, Janelle Monáe, Emeli Sandé and Maxwell.
