Young Jeezy Accused of Attacking Son: Report
Southern rapper Young Jeezy turned himself in on Friday (Jan. 3) to face charges he assaulted his son during an altercation in September 2012. The rapper was arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment and making threats, and was released after posting $45,000 bond.
Citing court documents, TMZ is reporting that Jeezy allegedly threw his son into a bathroom shower door, then punched him in the face before dragging him to a bedroom where he continued hitting him. When Jeezy's son tried to flee, the rapper's bodyguard blocked the way, according to an incident report.
The rapper -- born Jay Wayne Jenkins -- then choked his son and made deadly threats, the incident report says. "I will put a bullet in your head right now," Jeezy's son claims his dad said, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you."
The age of Jeezy's son is unclear.
Jeezy's lawyer did not comment on the specific accusations but told TMZ they believed the situation will "resolve itself appropriately."
