'There Is No Jay-Z Project,' Questlove Says

Word on the 'net is that Jay-Z and ?uestlove, of The Roots, have a "secret project" in the works. According to Hollywood.tv, via Complex, Quest announced plans to "do something real big in the next few weeks" with the hip-hop mogul. "He forbade me to tweet about it during rehearsals. Imagine the two month torture," he tweeted to Complex.

Earlier this month (Feb 6, 7), ?uestlove backed Jay-Z at his two charity concerts at Carnegie Hall. Jay performed his ode to Blue Ivy Carter, "Glory," for first time on Monday (Feb. 6), then on Tuesday (Feb. 7). Quest told Hollywood.tv that Jay-Z is "elated and on cloud 9" after the birth of his daughter, which is clear from the release of their first family photos last week.

He also notes that as a promise to Jay, he'll be working on compiling music to put on a "nursery ipod" for Blue Ivy in order to "baptize her in music" including the sounds of LL Cool J, John Coltrane, and Frank Zappa.

What's to come from these two musical geniuses? We can only anticipate its greatness.
