The first single from "G.O.O.D. Music" couldn't wait until Good Friday to hit the Internet.
"Mercy," set to drop officially at midnight Pacific time, landed early, collecting G.O.O.D. MCs Big Sean, Pusha T, 2 Chainz and Kanye West himself. The quartet rhyme over a woozy, Lifted-produced beat that'd be as at home on an A$AP Rocky mixtape as on the label group's latest.
The G.O.O.D. Music compilation is expected this spring. West and his collaborators previously launched the "G.O.O.D. Fridays" free music series before the release of "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," sharing additional material and early versions of songs from the critically acclaimed album.
West's latest solo effort, "Theraflu," dropped on Wednesday, with a verse about falling in "love with Kim" Kardashian even as the MC escorted the reality star to an apparent date night at a "Hunger Games" screening.
