Although having already released three tracks from, "Fortune," Chris Brown is pushing back his fifth studio album from May 8 to July 3.
"Team Breezy! The official album date for FORTUNE is July 3, 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!," Brown tweeted yesterday (April 22).
Earlier this month (April 10), Brown released two songs, "Sweet Love" and "Til I Die," respectively, showcasing two sides of the artist. "Sweet Love" is a seductive electro/R&B ballad while "Til I Die," featuring Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, is synth-heavy hip-hop cut. This week, "Til I Die," Brown's third charted song from "Fortune," debuted at No. 74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
"Til I Die" is one of Brown's four tracks climbing the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Turn Up the Music" moves up 94-81 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs this week, while "Strip," featuring Kevin K-Mac McCall, slips to No. 7. "Sweet Love," which debuted at No. 90, moves up 62-53.
Aside from his solo hits, Breezy is also featured on four other chart-climbers on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Here are this week's chart stats for the Chris Brown-assisted tracks: Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" moves up from No. 3 to 2, Fat Joe's "Another Round" stays steady at No. 8, Nicki Minaj's "Right By My Side" stays No. 24, and last but not least, DJ Khaled's "Take It To the Head," also featuring Rick Ross, Minaj and Weezy, moves up 48-37.
