Chris Brown Freestyles Over Kanye West Songs, Possibly Upsets Rihanna

And lo, Breezy took some Yeezy beats and caused more controversy. Although the release of his fifth full-length, "Fortune," is less than two months away, Chris Brown is still offering fans some new, non-album hip-hop. On Thursday morning (May 10), the pop star posted freestyles over two recent Kanye West songs, "Mercy" and "Theraflu" (er, "Way Too Cold"), on his Twitter feed -- one of which may unintentionally recall his ex-flame, Rihanna.
Breezy's take on "Mercy" is innocent enough -- lines like "I got a whole lot of girls in Dubai/I got a bush bitch in the Outback" roll across the beat as Brown ratchets up his intensity -- but over Hit-Boy's "Cold" beat, Brown tosses off an interesting line about an unnamed ex-girlfriend. "Don't fuck with my old bitch, it's like a bad fur/An industry n---a done had her," Brown sneers during the freestyle.
Shortly after the song was released, Rihanna posted on Twitter, "Aw, poor dat #neaux1currrrr," and apparently unfollowed her "Birthday Cake" collaborator. Brown then responded by writing, "Assumptions! I didn't say any names so if u took offense to it then its something you feel guilty about."
"Fortune," originally slated for a May 8 release date, will now hit stores on July 3, as singles like "Strip" and "Till I Die" continue to dwell on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. On Thursday, Brown plans to shoot a music video for "Till I Die," which features Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa.
