B2K Alum Raz B Slashes Wrist in Accident

Raz B, formerly of R&B group B2K, is thanking his lucky stars following a grisly accident in China that nearly severed the singer's hand clean off.

"MAN.... Cherish life and your loved one's. You just never know. THANK YOU LORD FOR SAVING MY LIFE," Raz (nee De'Mario Monte Thornton) tweeted early this morning, attaching a queasy picture that shows exposed bone in the singer's wrist.

According to TMZ, Thornton had performed in Shanghai on Sunday night before returning to his hotel room and crashing through a sliding glass door, subsequently gashing his wrist in the process. Losing a dangerous amount of blood in the near death experience, Thornton was rushed to Huashan Hospital Fudan University where he underwent surgery to save his life.

Thornton's remaining four tour dates overseas have been canceled in the wake of his accident.

B2K reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with its 2003 hit "Bump, Bump, Bump" featuring Diddy.
