Before the world gets to hear his contribution to the G.O.O.D. Music compilation "Cruel Summer," Big Sean has dropped a new mixtape, "Detroit." The follow-up to his "Finally Famous" mixtape series was released on Wednesday night (Sept. 5).
"Detroit" features an all-star cast of guest collaborators, including J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Tyga and Chris Brown, with special "stories" by Common, Young Jeezy and Snoop Lion. Production comes from Da Internz, Young Chop and Hit-Boy, among others.
Big Sean and his G.O.O.D. Music cohorts Kanye West, Pusha T, 2 Chainz and Common made a guest appearance during Jay-Z's headlining set at the Made In America fest last Saturday. "Cruel Summer" is due out Sept. 18; meanwhile, Big Sean's proper follow-up to his 2011 debut disc "Finally Famous" remains in-the-works.
"Thank u for listening... I work hard. Can't wait for y'all to hear the album I been working on, but for now bang the mixtape…," the rapper posted on Thursday.
