Lil B is bringing his swag to the rock world.

The prolific underground rapper released the "California Boy" video on Monday, with the track eschewing beats and rhymes for a melancholic, guitar-based sound reminiscent of indie acts such as Real Estate and Best Coast.

"AND THIS IS MY REAL VOICE SINGING! I DONT USE AUTO TUNE," Lil B wrote on Facebook, with a note on the video's YouTube page stating, "LIL B ROCK ALBUM COMING SOON!!!!"

Such a set would find Lil B joining the ranks of recent crossover rappers including Lil Wayne and Kid Cudi, who released rock albums "Rebirth" and the "WZRD" project in 2010 and February 2012, respectively.

Lil B hasn't gone too far from his roots: the video finds the local MC greeting fans at UC Berkeley.
