Omarion finally has set his first release on his new Maybach Music Group imprint: "Care Package," a free online EP, will hit iTunes on Nov. 29. In addition, the R&B singer released a visual for the track "M.I.A.," featuring Wale, on Monday (Nov. 12).
"M.I.A." originally appeared on the MMG compilation "Self Made 2," and its new music video finds Omarion crooning about a lady he alienated. There's some shirtlessness, a couple motorcycle shots, vodka being poured in red solo cups and Wale rapping next to a gorgeous ride -- all supplementing the story of Maybach O's girl finding some mysterious red lingerie in the hamper.
For the former B2K member, who celebrates his 28th birthday today, "Care Package" represents a new chapter to his career, following the disappointing sales of his last solo effort, 2010's "Ollusion." Omarion signed with Maybach Music Group -- the label Rick Ross legitimized with the help of stars like Wale and Meek Mill -- in May, and immediately began working on new material with his MMG cohorts and as a solo artist.
"I'm writing more. I'm dancing different. And I really want to entertain the people," Omarion told Billboard after the signing. "I think that people didn't foresee this move for me -- that people were like, 'Oh, what's up with Omarion?' Omarion fell off this, Omarion did that. What's gonna be his next move? This is my next move."
