Monday afternoon (Oct. 4), T.I. jumped on a conference call with a handful of DJs and journalists who he says are "the corner stone of what we do."
T.I. told the callers, including The Juice, that his first single, "I'm Flexin'" featuring and produced by Big K.R.I.T. was the first song he recorded when freed and he "kept gravitating back" to it. The king continued to share that he recorded ten records in one day and intends to deliver what his fans want "at all costs."
Besides working on new music, T.I. will be releasing a fictional book titled "Power and Beauty" on Oct. 18. "My aim is to give this generation [a] 'The Coldest Winter Ever.' I'm trying to give us one of those."
As previously reported, VH1 plans to capture Clifford's day to day life. T.I. says the show, "in documentary style," will focus mostly on his family. "It's a lot more about my family than people expect for it to be," T.I. said. "That's something they [family] wanted to do, something they were interested in doing. One of my sons, he want to rap. He wants to showcase his skills as a rapper. Of course, OMG Girlz is doing very well. King wants to act. My other daughter wants to sing too. Everybody got their own thing they want to do. When I was away that's what they said they wanted to do. So I said, 'aight.'"
While working on his own projects and a women's counterpart to Akoo, T.I. will have a hand in the "rebuilding stage" of Grand Hustle Records. "We're focusing on B.o.B, OMG [Girlz], Young Joseph. I'm looking to see who will step up."
