The break-up song samples Joni Mitchell's 'Big Yellow Taxi.'
Kelly Rowland teams up with Wiz Khalifa for her latest single, "Gone."
The Harmony-produced track, off her forthcoming album, "Talk a Good Game," features Kelly Rowland saying so long to a man whose done her wrong.
"Well, I thought that I should write a letter/ Then I thought this would be better/ Don't yell/ There's a million ways that I can tell you/ But I think I'd rather show you/ It's over/ And I won't be back no more," Kelly sings, before diving into the hook which she samples Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi."
"I ain't trippin'/ Just a bunch of extra shit that I ain't missin'/ My sister tried to tell me 'bout you, I ain't listen/ Now we're going down this road," Wiz raps on the latter end of "Gone." "Hit the smoke, said 'Bro, I've been here before'/ And you know Kelly never lied/ So you can get your stuff and get the going/ I'll get back to getting high.
"Gone" comes after the release of the emotional, "Dirty Laundry," and steamy bedroom cut, "Kisses Down Low." "Kisses Down Low" stays at No. 31 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week.
