Wu-Tang Clan isn't the only notorious rap collective returning to the scene this year with a new album. De La Soul will release their new album, "You're Welcome," late fall.
The trio announced the news today (April 17) on Rolling Stone with the premiere of a new song, "Get Away," featuring the Spirit of the Wu.
"I've always loved the 'Intro' on Disc Two of Wu-Tang Forever – this erie sample with no beat, that they only talked over," De La Soul's Posdnuos said."I stumbled on the original sample while crate digging one day, took it straight to the lab and added drums. The feel is definitely gritty, hard and sounds like a Wu record, so out of inspirational respect, we included featuring 'The Spirit of the Wu' in the song title."
Wu-Tang, who performed at Coachella 2013 this past Sunday (April 14), will release their forthcoming album, "A Better Tomorrow," in July and embark on a brief tour together.
