RIP, Fake Kanye West Fashion Twitter
Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music Album 'Is Almost Done,' Says Big Sean

That new (and now suspended) Twitter account that claimed to represent Kanye West's fashion line? Fake, says the rapper who took to his verified feed to clear the air Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 4).

"I really appreciate the fake DW twitter page but since it's not official I can't co sign any information on it," West says of @ Dwbykanye.

The key to knowing it was a fraud, according to West, is the fact that the account goofed on the fashion line's name. "The name of the line is Kanye West not DW. The Dw was a design element placed on the invite in homage to my mom," he says, referring to the late Donda West, who died in 2007.

The bogus Twitter had 1,700 followers and spun out four messages since it emerged Dec. 28, the most interesting being "Art knows no boundaries" on Jan. 2.

After West's clarification, the account was suspended around 5:00 p.m. ET. Yet another fake joins an ever-growing list of bogus Twitter accounts.
