What do you get when you mix preppy style, dapper pop music, and dogs walking down a runway? A runway show that's so hot it closed fashion week! Electro pop sensation Cobra Starship rocked the catwalk last night (Feb. 16) at this season's American Express show with Tommy Hilfiger. The style icon has always had a deep love of music, saying "when I was younger I wanted to be a rock star but I quickly realized I couldn't so I decided to dress like one."

With no plans to play Madison Square Garden anytime soon, the designer's fervor for music has instead caused him to enlist the musical talents of Cobra Starship to perform as his Spring 2012 offerings walked the runway. The debonair musicians played their latest hits on a stage erected at the end of the runway, dressed head to toe in Tommy.

The sparkle continued as the collection modeled on "The Hilfigers" -- a fictional, all-American family made up of eclectic and gorgeous characters including a child, an elderly man, and a dog. For the first time ever, the designer's fashionably fictitious family came to life as they strutted down the catwalk to Cobra's animated sound. We went backstage at this electrifying show and chatted with Tommy and Cobra Starship about fashion, music, and everything in between!
