Giuseppe Zanotti Designs "Cruel Summer" Heels for Kanye West
During Milan Fashion Week, Theophilus London snapped a picture of extravagant white heels, created for Kanye West by Giuseppe Zanotti. The shoes were inspired by the album artwork for Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music's "Cruel Summer" album, and were created to correspond with the album launch. West has collaborated with the shoe maverick on projects in the past, one of which included the creation of $5,800 pearl heels.
The whimsical leaf embellishments of the shoes call back to the Grecian aesthetic of the album artwork. The heels would be perfect for a modern-day Athena -- a.k.a. Rihanna!
Lady Gaga Raps for Paris Fashion Week
Lady Gaga dropped her pop image and turned rapper on a recorded track for her stylist Nicola Formichetti's Mugler show Wednesday (Sept. 26) at Paris Fashion Week. The "Born This Way" star's song was titled "Cake" -- which can mean many things besides "sweet dessert" in the rap world.
Gaga blurted out her lyrics with conviction, rapping, "Nicopanda got style trick, Cathy Horyn your style ain't dick / Walk a mile in these foot high heels, I run in these you ain't runnin' shit / You chew beef, I wear meat." She also acknowledged the recent rumors about her weight, saying, "I'm getting fat and so is my bank / I'm on a sold out world tour bitch."
Gaga was unable to attended the late-night Mugler show as she was performing in Zurich at the time, but rap star and fashion muse Azealia Banks was sitting front row -- we wonder what she thought of Gaga's rhymes.
