Allow me to introduce myself. I am Gregory DelliCarpini Jr. and I've had a long and tumbling love affair with fashion. From a child dressing up my younger brothers in my mother's delicate eveningwear, to riding in the elevators with Anna Wintour at Vogue, I have always been amazed by the glistening magic of the fashion industry.
As a graduate of Skidmore College, trained in art history, art, and design, and having studied architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, I have always enjoyed creative industries that directly and indirectly influence style. My most recent fervor has landed me here at Billboard.com's The Hook, where I am excited to capture the tempo and style of the music industry.
Music has become a beacon of inspiration and influence for the industry's greatest visionaries. This column will track the beat and sound in fashion as it threads through fashion weeks, store openings and festivals. We'll cover the industry's key power players, from the design haus of Marc Jacobs to the recording studio of Kanye West. The Hook is a colorful outburst of sound, fashion, style, and personality. Come strut to the beat of chic with The Hook.
