Lady Gaga has taken over for Mr. Clause and is decking the halls over at Barneys in NYC. Mother Monster will bring her bizarre and glitter-drenched style over to the high-end retailer for a complete holiday makeover.
The entrance to the department store will be disguised to "create the illusion of walking into the mouth of a giant monster-like Lady Gaga," according to a Barneys' press release. The excitement continues inside with "a jewelry shop created out of an oversized Lady Gaga-turned-spider and a boudoir in the shape of a giant wig." The fifth floor of the Gaga funhouse will feature hot stocking stuffers like Gaga-curated candy, toys, clothes, jewelry, makeup, and CDs.
Barneys CEO Mark Lee calls the whole thing "the largest and most completely realized holiday project ever undertaken in the history of Barneys New York."
Lady Gaga will officially reveal the spectacular holiday workshop for Barneys New York on Monday (Nov. 21). For those of you who can't wait to check out this fanatically twisted holiday creation, go to gagasworkshop.com for an exclusive preview and interactive Gaga experience. The site will spotlight "The Twelve Days of Gaga," a unique countdown that will feature one hot item for purchase daily, leading up to the big unveil at 11:29 PM on November 21. The first gift unveiled was a $15 frosted cookie featuring an image of Gaga from her Telephone video. Other items featured include a light-up Yo-Yo, a bow-shaped Lollipop, a Gaga magnetic dress up set, and a Black Stiletto Socking, to hold all of your Gaga gadgets and gizmos.
Twenty-five percent of the sales from the workshop will go to the Born This Way Foundation, which was founded by Gaga and her mother to put an end to bullying and build confidence.
