In-between walking the blue carpet at the Billboard Awards, preparing his next full-length album to release later this year, filling rooms with clouds of smoke and having a baby boy, Wiz Khalifa found time to dip into the fashion industry by collaborating on designs for custom caps
Wiz harnessed his urban swag and punk style by partnering with luxury headwear brand Flat Fitty. “When we first met the Flat Fitty team, we knew their vision and creativity was a match for Wiz Khalifa,” stated Sara Nemerov, SVP and Head of Consumer Products and Global Brand Licensing at Warner Music Group in a press release. As part of the new collaboration Wiz will help develop various custom cap designs each season for the headwear company that is approaching one million Facebook fans and has more than 1000 brands in over 80 countries.
“Having someone of Wiz’s caliber recognize the quality of Flat Fitty means a great deal to our team,” explains Flat Fitty CEO Christian Waters. “We work hard to consistently design and produce headwear that is of the highest standard achievable. Wiz’s desire to position his line with the most esteemed retailers is aligned with our brand’s mission statement of 'Just Better.' Wiz is one of the most business-minded young tastemakers out there, and Flat Fitty is truly excited about this partnership.”
The brand hopes that Wiz’s line will add a “refreshing new edge” for consumers. You can get a sneak peek of Wiz’s headwear line when it debuts at MAGIC Market Week in Las Vegas this August.
