The Best and Worst Dressed Artists of the Week: Rihanna and Solange
At the close of the workweek, we have sorted through countless looks from Saturday (April 6) to today (April 12) and selected the best and worst dressed of the bunch. Check out who is rocking killer threads and who needs to put their stylist on (permanent?) timeout this week.
Best: Solange Knowles
Solange Knowles shined while spreading her unique brand of sunshine in NYC this week. On April 6 she attended a dinner with Michael Kors in honor of Halle Berry and the United Nations World Food Programme to help fight world hunger. Held at The Pool Room at the Four Seasons, the singer stepped out in white button-down blouse under a black blazer and a quirky pair of Michael Kors blue-and-white cloud-print pants.
These pants were a risky fashion item to rock. Had they been worn differently Solange may have ended up on the worst dressed list. But this fashionista knows how to appropriately rock sky trousers pairing the loud item with neutral pieces. She polished her springy look with neon-orange painted nails and a pair of smooth sandals.
Rihanna may be the best-dressed woman in the music industry (she made our best dressed list just last week.) However, we were a bit thrown by her on courtside look at the Los Angeles Lakers against the Los Angeles Clippers at their Staples Center home on April 7. The “Stay” singer sported a pair of embellished sweats by British brand Kokontozai's spring/summer 2013 line with a matching tank.
The zany look didn’t stop there. She added a gold choker necklace, a backwards hat, leather cuff, a black and white striped clutch, and a pair of white heels. Burgundy colored lips and nude nails round out the look.
