Fashion Killa A$AP Rocky is the first rapper to cover Vogue!
A$AP continues his fashion takeover covering the March issue of L'Uomo Vogue. The Harlem rapper has been turning heads with his blend of street savvy, fresh couture looks. Whether sitting front row at a fashion show, chatting with designers or strutting down the street or even the catwalk during fashion week, one thing’s for sure, his cool style is infectious.
"Look how young I am. I'm the first rapper to be on the cover of Vogue Magazine," he said to Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood "I'm proud of that. That's a dream. I'd never thought they'd put a black kid from Harlem with gold teeth and braids on the front of Vogue, know what I'm saying?"
The “Goldie” singer suited up, making his Vogue debut on the Italian menswear mag in a polished black Dolce&Gabbana suit and gold shirt. While chatting with Power Big Boy the rapper also discussed why MTV should have put him higher than No. 8 on the Hottest MCs list.
“I'm not even honored. Honestly like, for real, for real, what young cat my age is directing their own videos,” he questioned. “What young cat is influencing hip-hop culture and fashion culture at the same time? How you going to put me No. 8, man? I opened the VMAs with a mixtape, I did two tours off a mixtape." Watch A$AP further chat about his placement on MTV’s MCs list and his relationship Rihanna below.
The "F*ckin' Problem" MC is currently gearing up to partner with Rihanna at her Diamonds world tour this month. For more on this stylin’ dude, check out our recent interview with him.
