ASAP Rocky Modeled at Fashion Week

A$AP Rocky closed the HOOD BY AIR fashion show yesterday during the designer's first ever New York Fashion Week showing. The label has been on the scene since early 2007 with a strong underground following. Designer Shayne Oliver created a lux streetwear collection of urban “ghetto gothic” looks. "I want to push people,” Oliver said in a statement. “I want them to have new standards of what is classic and what is formal. If they don't get it at first, I’m okay with it."

As a laser light collection took to the runway the show’s front row was flanked by notables like rapper Theophilus London and stylist Nicolas Formichetti. The excitement continued with Boy Child strutting down the catwalk in the new collection followed by emerging rapper A$AP Rocky closing out the presentation. The “Goldie” rapper rocked a neoprene zip-up top and drop-crotch pants as he made his modeling debut.

The Cardigans Performed at Rodebjer's Fall 2013 Presentation

The Swedish label from Urban Outfitters’ Around the World collection had a lux take on streetwear for fall with embellished dresses and fur covered looks. The modern collection featured sharp separates in black and navy and fun splashes of color paired with playful prints.

When it came to the music Carin Rodebjer's stuck with her roots by selecting Swedish singer Nina Persson of the Cardigans to perform. Acting as a perfect backdrop for this whimsical collection, she performed musician Jan Johansson's traditional Swedish folk jazz. Fellow band mate and husband Nathan Larson added current touches to the mix in the form of the sparkling computer sounds.

A$AP Rocky & A$AP Bari Were in Disguise at Y-3

As a punky collection of geometric prints and neon trimmed looks hit the runway at the Y-3 show, A$AP Rocky & A$AP Bari looked on from behind facemasks. The rappers sported an all black look made up of an oversized black leather jacket, matching trousers, and a black ski mask.  Masks are certainly trending right now in the music scene. Kanye West was also recently scene rocking a red knit mask in Paris and a Maison Martin Margiela mask in Atlantic City during a perfomance.
