Moments after winning album of the year at the ACM Awards for "Same Trailer Different Park" on Sunday, Kacey Musgraves signaled she's looking ahead, ever-so-cautiously, at her next release. While she's got "a handful of songs that I'm really, really excited about," the "Follow Your Arrow" country star is taking some time before she really digs in.

"I'm gonna start thinking about that soon probably, but I'm just relishing the fact that I just won album of the year for this album and not think about the next one," she told Billboard.

In the meantime, Musgraves is gearing up to collaborate with another singer-songwriter: Katy Perry. Musgraves has linked with Perry for a June episode of CMT's "Crossroads," and in August she'll join the pop star's "Prismatic" tour.

"So, Katy Perry has been one of my favorite artists since she came out and I found out about her music," Musgraves said. "I just think she's so brilliant, like her whimsical vision compounded with the fact that she's an incredible songwriter and lyricist is like two of my favorite things in one. She's gorgeous and so nice and she's such a champion to me."

Musgraves appeared at Perry's "We Can Survive" charity concert in October, and in December she revealed to Billboard that she and Perry had met up for a songwriting session.

"Writing with Katy was a fun joining of worlds and a good song came out of it," Musgraves said at the time. "I love when brains come together with different colors and influences to throw into the mix. We're fans of each other so it works and was an awesome experience."
