Kacey Musgraves' single "Follow Your Arrow" is an anthem with a resoundingly liberating message -- don't sweat others' perception, just follow your arrow, wherever it goes. Fittingly, the "Follow Your Arrow" music video is a loose affair, in which Musgraves visits the desert to find others who are living a particularly shackle-free lifestyle.
The song kicks in once Musgraves finds a arrow sticking up in the middle of a dirt road, and from there, she's joined by a well-dressed, all-male band, who kick up said dirt when the country singer begins to boogie. There are other instances of invigorated dancing, a leaping priest, an adorable pony, and a lot more arrows than just that innocuous first one.
After winning the New Artist of the Year trophy at the CMA Awards, Musgraves scooped up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist on Friday night (Dec. 6). "Follow Your Arrow," from the 25-year-old's debut album "Same Trailer Different Park," has peaked at No. 28 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
