In our ongoing look at tomorrow night's 46th Annual Country Music Association Awards, we shine the spotlight on a category where some history could be made. Martina McBride and Reba McEntire are the only two ladies to win the Female Vocalist of the Year prize four times. Two of this year's nominees have a chance to join that exclusive club? Will it happen? Read On!

Female Vocalist of the Year:
Kelly Clarkson
Miranda Lambert
Kacey Musgraves
Taylor Swift
Carrie Underwood

Outlook from The 615: This category appears to be one of the easiest to pick this year. Kelly Clarkson simply hasn't had that strong of a year in the country field compared to the other four. Kacey Musgraves is quickly developing a fan base with fans and the industry, and though we wouldn't complain – she's likely too new for this one. Taylor Swift is a remarkable entertainer, and has had her strongest year as a multi-format threat, but we believe this one comes down to two of the format's most visible female vocalists. Carrie has been very consistent, but Miranda hasn't lost any of her momentum, so look for Lambert to join Reba and Martina as a four-time winner

Who Will Win: Miranda Lambert. Though, Carrie has released some of her strongest work yet this year, so it would not be a total shock to see Underwood return to the winners' circle.
