They looked like nobody before or since in country music. Fortunately, they sounded like no one else, either. Twenty-two years ago this weekend, the Kentucky Headhunters received a Gold album for their "Pickin' On Nashville" album. Radio made their singles "Dumas Walker," "Walk Softly On This Heart Of Mine," and the Don Gibson cover "Oh Lonesome Me" huge hits. The album would go on to sell over two million units, and though they would never achieve such numbers again, they're still at it today, sounding just as vibrant and as fresh as ever. In honor of their classic album, let's grab a "slawburger, fries and a bottle of Ski," and head on down to Dumas Walker's!
