Carrie Underwood's 'Blown Away' Nabs Second Week at No. 1

A trio of country's power women figure prominently in the nominations for the upcoming 2012 CMT Music Awards, with perennial fan favorite Carrie Underwood taking five nominations, Miranda Lambert following closely with four, and Taylor Swift with three. This year's nominations were announced on the "Today" show on Monday morning (Apr. 23).

Lambert is nominated for two awards for her solo work, and two for her work as a member of the Pistol Annies. Fans of "American Idol" will get to choose once again between Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, who both figure into the nominees for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year, and critics favorite The Civil Wars are up for three awards - including two with Taylor Swift for their collaborative effort "Safe & Sound," from "The Hunger Games" soundtrack.
